  • 1 min read

In the Interreg project "GreenSense", we collaborate with different partners from Flanders and The Netherlands to study the deployment of sensor technology in horticulture. Our new movement sensor is further tested in commercial greenhouse conditions, and we develop models to use plant movements as a reliable indicator of plant growth and stress. Together with Prof. Maarten De Vos, we are developing and implementin

g machine learning (AI) models to predict plant behavior based on leaf movement and environmental sensor data, to steer crop production.
